As the moors are coming to life with spring life and colour, the beautiful heather fields are a carpet of colour stretching far across the land. In the Northumberland National park, the heathers are a protected habitat. It is one of the most spectacular areas to see this beautiful, wild shrub. With an emphasis on the lavender/purple tones of this beautiful plant, the light dances and the gentle winds sing. A view looking north toward the farther reaches of Northumberland.
