Created from imagination coupled with a dusk walk in Lamesley Pasture's in Gateshead, this is the beautiful St Andrew's church. The present church rises from Medieval foundations, built upon a site once hallowed in Saxon times. For centuries, it has stood beneath these same skies, watching the light and all the lives that pass. As sunset spilled across the fields, I painted this quiet endurance, the glow of the ancient stone, the hush of history lingering in gold and shadow. Makes for a gorgeous magical, yet modern centre-piece for your space. Colours that can be found in the piece, Golden Yellow, Burnt Orange, Cool Blue Grey, Raspberry, Gold, Mauve and subtle flashes of Magenta and Green.
