The fields and meadows are coming to life with colour. Glorious greens and yellow golden fields light up the countryside. Set just as you leave Beauclerc, Hexham, Northumberland, just outside Riding Mill looking back across the Tyne Dale valley toward Newcastle Upon Tyne. Beautiful area that I adore to hike and paint. Painted pleinair a few days ago, it captures the colours, light and textures that dance across this beautiful land, as the seasons shift into summer colours. Expressive, impressionistic marks give the piece a sense of natural realism. Teal, and yellow shades, with hints of blue, purple and red, with beautiful earthy greens.
